During the pre-accession period in the UE, AS METAL prepared a number of case studies concerning the recycling of decommissioned vehicles and the WEEE, [studies] which were also submitted to the national environmental authorities. Studies and research have been performed since 2010 in order to have a number of new car industry alloy brands homologated.

AS METAL entered into several partnerships with the Polytechnic University in Bucharest and performed together a number of research projects and studies in the field of secondary metallurgy.
